The design of the greenscape for this public space was subdivided into smaller self-contained areas. For the plaza of the City Hall the planting plan was devised in a dialectic relationship with the plaza's modern paving pattern. By planting en masse only a single plant species within each of the individual square a clear and legible pattern is created, which offers a multitude of interchanging views both from the ground as well as from the higher levels of the City Hall. For the rock area, inspiration was drawn from the Attica landscape. Native plant species were introduced in an arrangement aimed at complementing the clear architectural forms of this contemporary building as well as the dramatic shape of the rock itself.
