Having recently acquired a plot of land neighbouring an existing square, the municipality of Moschato commissioned a landscape design for the new public space which would create a refuge for the local children. A primary aim of the design process for this project was to ensure that the new plot was well integrated with the pre-existing square, creating a harmonious, functional and aesthetically pleasing whole. Selective interventions were proposed for the existing square, to upgrade and revamp it, smoothing over any weaknesses in the existing design and exploiting its strengths.
