The aim of the landscape design for the regeneration of the Leimonas park was to create self-contained sporting and recreation grounds for the region´s inhabitants.
On the perimeter of the park, a broad movement corridor was proposed, connecting all subspaces and offering an idyllic strolling or jogging path. Within this surrounding walkway we planned and positioned all sports courts and auxiliary infrastructure.
The greenscape is a pivotal unifying element in this landscape composition. One of the characteristic features of this landscape design is the proposed dense green corridors which have been created mostly in a north-to-south direction and offer unobstructed views of the picturesque green fields revealed to the south of the park.
