The bioclimatic urban design of the Krokees town center was a welcome challenge. Our design effort focused on the following four points:
- Maintaining and highlighting the picturesque architecture of the town center
- Seamlessly connecting the town squares via a safe and unified walking path network across the town and along the streets
- Integrating the commercial establishments, cafés and restaurants within the overall open space urban design
- Using contemporary principles of bioclimatic design to create conditions of human comfort in the town center
The final masterplan of the Krokees town center offers a functional and versatile town design which balances all of the aforementioned objectives.
